Fashion, similar to art, transcends time and culture and I believe my brand’s essence is rooted in this simple thought. Great creative interpretations, expressions and products are inspired by originality and ‘fashion’ forms the fabric of our daily lives – I believe I am a custodian of fashion, a curator of design and a craftsman of aesthetically attuned products that ‘fashion’ our lifestyles.
I design fashion and travel accessories, from innovative belts, bracelets, bags, satchels, totes to a host of items that allow people to celebrate their individuality and make a statement that reflects their personality. I do exactly the same thing when I craft home accessories that someone wants to place in their home, allowing them make a fashionable statement without necessarily wearing the product. The principle remains the same.
I am driven by a deep-rooted sense of pride in Indian culture but wanted to bring the rich tapestry of our nation by using nostalgic visual imagery that resonates the beautiful fragility of our country – whether it be a quintessential Indian rural scene or images of the British Raj, Mughul architecture or portraitures of Indian holy men – visuals that can only be associated to India. Marry these images with the best leather, canvas and fine craftsmanship and you have arrived at the doorsteps of Nappa Dori.
