29 July 2019 - Couture Hall of Fame celebrated and honoured six legendary designers, with an intimate black-tie dinner with a "twist" dinner at the Taj Palace hotel, held in the capital. It was an evening that saw India’s top designers, stylists, and editors present, to applaud the contributions of those, who paved the way for design dialogues. The eventful night witnessed “Couture Chronicles”, a fashion showcasing which brought to life, the creations of 21 leading lights of Indian design.

31 January 2019 - ‘Made in South Asia’, for the World Bank in New Delhi. The event showcased 60 outfits made from textiles created by women self-help groups from Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Nepal and Pakistan. Within India, the textiles came from eight states (Assam, Bihar, Gujarat, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Telangana and Uttar Pradesh).

19 January 2019 – As part of the “Make in India” vision, the 9th edition of the Gujarat Global Summit and FDCI put up a spectacular show on the banks of Sabarmati in Ahmedabad. The designers who participated were Anju Modi, Gaurang Shah, Namrata Joshipura, Payal Jain, Rahul Mishra, Rajesh Pratap Singh and Shyamal & Bhumika.

10 January 2019 - FDCI organized a textile exposition at the iconic Old Currency Building in Kolkata with Annamika Khanna showcasing 42 outfits made with indigenous materials like jut, khadi, silk, chanderi and muslin

5 January 2019 - The Ministry of Textiles and FDCI organized Artisan Speak, a one-of-a-kind event that showcased India’s glorious textiles and honored the people behind them, at Lal Qila, Delhi. The event was held at the beautiful Sawan Pavilion, with Zafar Mahal in the distance. The event was followed by a beautifully-choreographed show of gorgeous sarees and outfits created by six of India’s top designers who are known for their passion for traditional textiles and craft—Anita Dongre, Anju Modi, Gaurang Shah, Rahul Mishra, Rajesh Pratap Singh and Rohit Bal.

29 Sep 2018 - Australia Fest: Australian design and Indian handloom came together at India Fashion Week SS’18. The show featured the collections of five Australian designers - Romance was Born, We are Kindred, Brother’s Earth, Cassandra Harper and Roopa – created using Indian handloom textiles.

Delhi, May 12th, 2016 - Education New Zealand and FDCI bring eclecticism to the ramp in collaboration with NIFT, Pearl and AUT. Education New Zealand (ENZ) and FDCI a hosted the ‘Runway to New Zealand’, an interesting fashion fiesta, in the capital, today. The event was a culmination of a month-long journey which saw an amalgamation of creative impetus and ingenuity.

The Department of Industrial Policy & Promotion, Ministry of Commerce & Industry, in collaboration with the FDCI will hosted ‘Weaves of Banaras’ as part of the Make in India Week. It was be held in Mumbai, in February 14, 2016 at the ITC Grand Central.

Thursday, 29 Oct 2015 - The FDCI collaborated with The Ministry of External Affairs & presented ‘Threads of Banaras’. The FDCI a non-profit organisation presented a unique initiative titled ‘Threads of Banaras’, in association with The Ministry of External Affairsas part of the First Ladies’ programme during the ongoing India-Africa Forum Summit III.

Ahemdabad, 30 Oct 2015 - FDCI collaborated with Gujarat State Khadi & Village Industries Board. FDCI presented the second edition of its unique initiative titled ‘Huts to High Street’, at IIM Ahmedabad. This special showcasing was in association with the Gujarat State Khadi & Village Industries Board.
