Trained at Chelsea College of Art and Design, London and National Institute of Fashion Technology, Delhi, Gaurav Jai Gupta set up Akaaro in 2007.n nHe debuted at WIFW showing S/S 2011 and was immediately dubbed as “find of the week”by leading national daily Hindustan Times. His approach towards his work and commitment to revive appreciation for contemporary hand-woven Indian textiles has earned him both critical acclaim and a list of high profile customers with likes of Jimmy Choo.
