Her traditional roots and fine sense of aesthetics formed the basicnprinciples of her design. In 1996, she worked with NGOs, BR AC,nBangladesh on the revival of Nakshikantha, which she showcasednat the Miss World pageant in 1997 and reintroduced the legendarynDhaka Muslin, a gorgeous handmade fabric that had disappearednfrom India after partition.nIn 2003 her collection took the Singapore Fashion week bynstorm. Her label ‘Projekt M’ brings together innovators MadhunJain and Milind Soman. It began with a tumultuously successfulnshowing at the VIIth World Bamboo Congress which introducednthe bamboo-based textile into India. Its collections are dramaticnmix of kalamkari, painting of Raja Ravi Varma, intricate ikkatsnfrom Andhra Pradesh, kantha embroidery of West Bengal, allnbeautifully blended together in the ‘Project M’ signature style.
