For almost three decades, Krishna Mehta has created unique pieces of art by amalgamating the traditional with nouveau elements. Every piece is designed with delicacy and contemporary methods right from its neo-natal stage i.e. fabric where it is nurtured by time-honored methods of surface ornamentation and thus producing fresh new produce. With a keen eye for detailing, each Krishna Mehta piece is completed skillfully by hand.
The label has its main markets in Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Bengaluru and Kolkata.
The Spring Summer 2017 collection to be showcased at AIFW designed with thoughtful emphasis on individually-styled silhouettes, worn on their own or layered. The pieces use a multitude of hand-woven fabrics, tie-dye, texture, and block printing. These merge with vibrant motifs and glimmering embellishments, in shifting variations of scale and tones. The collection creates a vibrant arc, in shades of gold and beige, offset by earthy tones of dark red and shadowy greens, juxtaposed with pops of bright pink, aqua, yellow and purple.
