Péro’ means to wear in Marwari which is the local language of Rajasthan. ‘Péro’ interprets international aesthetic using local material and skills, taking inspiration from what surrounds us, to make a product that connects with people, wherever in the world it is placed.
nThe label is launched by Aneeth Arora, a textile graduate from National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad and a fashion graduate from National Institute of Fashion Technology. She calls herself a ‘textile and dress maker’ and what fascinates and inspires her most is the clothing and dressing styles of the local people, which makes them so effortlessly stylish and trendy, therefore making them real trend setters of the time.
péro is all about sustainable fashion where it offers equal opportunity to every crafts person and it believes that every step of bringing the garment closer to the customer adds significant value. We always work with traditional weavers and craft persons to ensure we promote the dying crafts of India.
péro works with over 500 weavers and crafts people across the country and procures raw material from West Bengal, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Himanchal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Orissa, Uttar Pradesh and Delhi.
péro uses indigenous techniques such as Tie and Dye, Block print, Ikat, Khadi, Chanderi, Maheshwari, Jamdani, Pashmina, Hand knitting and Crochette and its variations to create a unique offering which evokes a sense of culture. In every collection, péro uses crafts/ inputs from at least 4 states.

AW 17 is an attempt to unite the modern with the traditional and international silhouettes through carefully hand crafted clothing using natural fabrics. The resulting designs are finely-detailed with a worn-in quality that makes them very wearable. The fabrics used are all handwoven wool, linens , silk and Khadi cottons woven in different parts of India. Block Printed florals in indigo and other bright colors are incorporated to add lightness and to compliment the geometry and seriousness of checks and stripes.
