Kavita has been in the business of fashion (Retail and Manufacturing) since November 1989, she opened her first store Ogaan in Hauz Khas Village nestling between deer park and an ancient movement.
Ogaan was the second store in India to house designer wear. The market was very charged at that time as Indian people wanted high quality fashion, which could no longer be made by tailors sitting at home. NIFT had opened at the same time and there was an inflow of talented people who had studied fashion and design.
The business of fashion has increased manifold and Ogaan, has opened 5 stores in Delhi and flagship stores in Hyderabad and Mumbai. The Kavita Bhartia label started in 1989 when she opened her store since then she has participated in many international exhibitions and events and manufactured for international brands under her own label. Her brand of clothing specialises in occasion wear and is available in her own stores and other prominent stores in India. The brand promotes Indian Textiles with an exquisite revival of handwork.
