Born and raised in the cultural and historic city of Kolkata, Pallavi always had a flair for artistry.
She attended the National Institute of Fashion Technology, New Delhi, where she graduated as a Diploma in Accessory Design. She then interned and worked as a design assistant under Sabyasachi Mukherjee from the year 2004-2007. In the year 2008, she set afloat her marquee “Verb”. “To Fashion” is a Verb, hence aptly so, the label.
Verb is an inspirational Luxe bohemian brand, specializing in Prêt-a-porter. It is energized by travel, history, music, art and culture. The Verb woman is a free spirit. The clothes she wears tell us her journey: she is the artist of herself. They have an organic flavour, with bohemian and romantic reminiscences, mix-media of materials explore precious embroideries, colorful patterns and tribal details.
It is internationally available in limited edition luxury boutiques in narrow dwindling lanes of South of France, Spain and Italy. It is also widely available in South America, U.S.A & Middle East. Instinctive and ironic, her imaginative yet pragmatic outlook surprise in equal measures.
