The Shyam Sundar Co Jewellers journey that began in Dhaka (now in Bangladesh) and, after partition, led to a relocation in Agartala (Tripura) sixty years ago eventually branching out into a number of franchised showrooms to be finally head-quartered in Kolkata.
This good old jewellery house was founded by the Late G C Saha, a leading light of Agartala society; and the second generation, daughter Arpita Saha and husband Rupak Saha, are committed to take the good name further.
This good lineage and great promise was summed up in the baseline of companys corporate identity A rich legacy, a continued pursuit of excellence– and reinforced with the choice of Soha Ali Khan, Konkona Sensharma & Kaushiki Chakraborty as brand ambassadors.
Shyam Sundar Co Jewellers has always extended its pursuit of excellence beyond the four walls of the jewellery showrooms promoting heritage, culture and all that is really gold.
Along the way, there have been many awards for excellence in design and craftsmanship; and accolades galore.
The first Kolkata showroom at Rashbehari Avenue, (Near Triangular Park), was launched in August 2011, on the strength of this good lineage and great promise, and is finding a special place in the minds and hearts of the people of Kolkata.
The house has, since, added two more showrooms in the city – Behala and Barasat respectively.
