Soham Dave is an eponymous label that came into being in 2011. The homegrown label creates concept-based clothing for the conscious urban consumer with emphasis on Indian rooted textiles and slow design principles. Each new product is developed thoughtfully in harmony with the environment and respect for the people it works with, giving prime importance to quality. From fabric to the finished product, everything is created by hand and involves human intervention at each step.
Back in 2011, Sohams journey began with the launch of his label after he graduated from the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York. In 2012, he made the conscious choice to return to India, where he could passionately nurture the brand while collaborating with weavers and artisans in rural India. Soham holds a bachelors degree in Electrical engineering from Nirma University in Ahmedabad and a masters in Global Fashion Management from FIT, New York. He hails from a small town called Surendranagar in Gujarat, India.
Over the past decade, the brand has flourished, with three brick-and-mortar stores strategically located in Kalaghoda-Mumbai, Khan Market-Delhi, and Ahmedabad. Additionally, the brand has presence through a web store and other esteemed stockists like Good Earth, Ogaan, Amethyst, and many more.
