The traveling gypsy is back once again as Pero by Aneeth Arora brings together modern bohemia in earthy tones, soothing colours and beautifully woven fabrics. This time, its layering that takes the collection to a whole new level with fun knits, cute berets and vintage retro leather trunks that seem to be giving this collection a playful feel.
We loved the hand woven fabrics that seem to envelope the body, the fun knits that made for great scarves and easy cover-ups- the knit waistcoats in pastel shades were a welcome change. The interesting thing about the collection is the layering of cottons with knits a very wintery option for most Indians and no one does it better than Aneeth. The homeless chic vibe that the collection gives out is both retro and avant-garde at the same time.
The shapeless shirts, the ill-fitted jackets and the braided scarves are all part of the parcel as design and styling go hand in hand with this collection. We absolutely loved the striped knit sweaters, the 80s legwarmers and the patchwork pants that all seemed to get together to create a traveler who is both self-motivated and has an individualistic choice in styling oneself. The flowy skirts, the fuss-free kurtas and the cutesy sweaters with hearts on the sleeves and the back are by far the most interesting pieces in the collection.
