Key Responsibilities & KRAs
- Receive and document all orders from design / retail / MBO teams
- Create and monitor production timelines, ensuring daily progress tracking and on-time dispatch.
- Coordinate with sourcing, embroidery, and fabric teams for timely availability of materials.
- Maintain fabric issue registers and consumption records for all orders.
- Negotiate with vendors for sampling and production costs to optimize margins while maintaining quality.
- Supervise development of toiles / samples and client approvals before production.
- Ensure smooth handover of design files, specs, and references from design to production.
- Implement QC checks at every stage: embroidery, stitching, finishing, and packing.
- Maintain production tracking sheets with daily status updates.
- Liaise with logistics for dispatch and coordinate with store/client for delivery confirmation.
- Coordinate with the merchandising and warehouse teams to ensure correct SKU segregation and dispatch documentation.
- Maintain a tracker for fittings, client trials, and alterations.
- Maintain production MIS, cost sheets, and order-wise profitability.
- Submit weekly progress reports directly to management highlighting delays, risks, and proposed solutions.
Required Skills & Profile
- Minimum 5–7 years experience in luxury fashion / couture production merchandising.
- Strong understanding of fabric construction, embroidery processes, garment finishing, and quality standards.
- Proficient in production tracking systems, Excel, and documentation.
- Excellent communication and vendor management skills.
- Ability to multitask between custom couture orders and bulk production while maintaining precision.
- Proactive problem-solver with strong follow-through and accountability.
