Pankaj & Nidhi is an internationally renowned Indian luxury label completing twenty years in 2026. Our work is carried by discerning multi-brand boutiques across the GCC, Europe, and the United States, alongside our flagship stores in New Delhi and Mumbai. We are looking for a Senior Designer to work directly under Nidhi Ahuja on the silhouettes and shapes of our collections — across Western ready-to-wear, Indian occasion-wear, and our broader design vocabulary. This is a focused craft role for someone whose sensibility lives in form, proportion, and how clothing sits on the body — and who has begun developing their own authorial voice.
Key Responsibilities
- Conceptualise the silhouette direction for each collection in alignment with Nidhi’s creative vision
- Develop original silhouettes that reflect a confident, independent point of view — informed by global cultural and aesthetic movements, but never derivative .
- Pattern, drape, and resolve silhouettes hands-on through toiles, sample iterations, and fit sessions
- Lead technical fit reviews, managing corrections and ensuring fit consistency across size ranges and international body proportions
- Maintain silhouette coherence across Western RTW, Indian-wear, and occasion-wear while evolving each season
- Build mood and silhouette boards to communicate vision to the wider design, pattern, and production teams
- Collaborate closely with the Indian-wear lead, Western RTW lead, and exports head to ensure silhouettes scale through production at our atelier
- Continually research global cultural shifts, fabric innovations, and emerging movements in form
What We’re Looking For
- 3–6 years of experience designing for contemporary luxury, premium ready-to-wear, or established Indian designer labels
- A portfolio demonstrating a clear and original point of view on form and proportion
- Strong hands-on technical proficiency in pattern-making, draping, grading, and fit sessions
- Experience designing for international markets with a strong understanding of Western body proportions and fit
- Strong sketching and Adobe Illustrator skills
- Graduates from NIFT, Pearl, Polimoda, Central Saint Martins, Parsons, or comparable institutions preferred
- An aesthetic aligned with our brand world — quiet luxury, narrative-driven, craft-anchored
