- Client Styling & Consultation: Provide expert style and bridal consultation to walk-in and appointment-based clients. Understand personal tastes, occasions, and preferences to recommend the most suitable pieces.
- Sales Ownership: Drive conversions and ensure exceptional client experience from first walk-in to final delivery. Upsell and cross-sell effectively.
- Measurement & Fitting Coordination: Take accurate body measurements and coordinate with the production/fitting teams to ensure perfect custom fits.
- Product Knowledge: Maintain a deep understanding of the brand’s aesthetic, collections, embroideries, silhouettes, and fabrics to communicate the brand story powerfully.
- Client Relationship Management: Build strong, long-term relationships with clients including brides, families, and stylists. Handle post-sale communication and feedback.
- Store Presentation: Ensure visual merchandising, display, and product placement are aligned with luxury standards.
- Experienced in bridal and luxury fashion (3–5 years in premium brands).

1. Merchandising & Planning
Ensure optimal stock availability across all Varun Bahl Couture stores and MBO partners.
Plan and execute seasonal product assortments and replenishment strategies based on sales data and market trends.
Coordinate with the design and production teams to align inventory flow with merchandising calendars.
Conduct weekly, monthly, and quarterly sell-through and stock turn analysis.
Identify top-performing styles, categories, and price points; share insights with sales and design teams.
2. Business Development & MBO Management
Manage and grow relationships with existing MBOs and identify new potential partners (domestic & international).
Coordinate onboarding, assortment curation, stock allocation, and periodic reviews with all MBOs.
Act as the key liaison between Varun Bahl Couture and external retail partners to ensure brand standards are met.
Monitor MBO performance and take timely action for slow-moving stock or collection rotation.
3. Commercial & Operational Excellence
Track retail KPIs (e.g., sell-through, GMROI, contribution margins).
Collaborate with finance and operations teams for sales forecasting and budgeting.
Work with visual merchandisers and marketing to support seasonal launches and campaigns at store level.
Must-Have:
- 4–8 years of experience in fashion/luxury retail merchandising, preferably in womenswear or couture.
- Strong understanding of stock planning, allocation, and MBO account management.
- Analytical mindset with proficiency in Excel, MIS reporting, and sales data interpretation.
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills for business development and relationship management.
- Highly organized, solution-oriented, and commercially astute.
Preferred:
- Background in fashion merchandising, retail planning, or buying.

We are looking for a motivated and skilled Junior Fashion Designer with 6–7 years of hands-on experience in designing Women’s western wear, especially evening gowns, cocktail dresses, and occasionwear, to join our in-house design team. The ideal candidate should have strong conceptual abilities, a keen eye for detailing, and a sound understanding of draping and garment construction.
In this role, you will assist the senior design team in the creation of collections, take ownership of assigned categories, and work collaboratively across departments to bring designs from idea to finished product.
- Assist in designing and developing seasonal and capsule collections for western wear, with a focus on evening gowns and statement pieces.
- Translate design briefs and moodboards into sketches, drapes, and tech packs.
- Support in the draping and toile-making process to develop new shapes and silhouettes.
- Collaborate with the sampling unit for fit trials and refine garments based on feedback from fittings.
- Research fabrics, trims, color palettes, and embellishment trends aligned with the brand aesthetic.
