If you are wondering how celebrities quietly manage to do a catwalk without being mobbed at the fashion weeks, there is a method behind the madness. Bollywood dreamboats Madhuri Dixit, Sharmila Tagore and Katrina Kaif have nothing to fear thanks to the multi-level security provided by the Taj Mahal Hotel working in tandem with the FDCI team.

With the PCJ Delhi Couture Week targeted at the crème de la creme, the main lobby will be cordoned off for easy access to the venue and guests will be making a swift entry from the Sardar Patel Marg. TS5 will be managing all security arrangements with a team of 40 English-speaking personnel dressed in sharp suits stationed strategically around the two MSAs, backstage and all entry and exit points.

“Lobby level no cameras will be allowed to give guests privacy. We follow simple security drills with celebs where we bring them down through service lifts, through the kitchen into the main halls,” says the veteran Ramesh Menon from the FDCI team.
With the ever increasing demands for front row seats, to see and to be seen, this time there are 78 seats and a total of 96 seats for the media (approx.). The two MSAs (Shahjahan and Durbar Hall) can house a good 400 guests each, and the ramp will be almost 20 feet long to give the 32 leggy models enough, well, legroom. “The ramp can change according to the designer’s demands. Some want it wider, to make it more opulent, which will hit the seating number. But in the end it all gets adjusted,” clarifies Ramesh.

Besides, the show areas, there are also five luxe lounges created within the hotel. With the system set over the years, this year as the fashion extravaganza gets bigger and better, get ready as the curtain is being raised. Let the show begin!
