A bevy of Bollywood beauties took to the runway at Amazon India Couture Week. Celebrity showstoppers add a touch of glamour to the model line up and are always a treat to watch. This season, we saw some of the biggest names in the movies fly to the Capital to lend their support to their favourite designers.

Shilpa Shetty can give any international supermodel a run for her money with her fabulous figure and washboard abs. Dressed in a muted gold and rose pink lehenga or designers Rimple and Harpreet Narula’s “Maharadjah & Co” collection, she sure stole the spotlight. A risque blouse, cascading hair, and simple makeup finished the glamorous make over.

Richha Chaddha played begum to the T, dressed from head-to-toe in a red bridal lehenga for designer Reynu Taandon’s ‘Shahbanu’ collection. Displaying a whole lot of “adah” to play the Persian princess, the model-actress looked like she walked right out of a period film.

Actresses Aditi Rao Hydari and Chitrangadha Singh walked the runway for  designer Debarun Mukherjee. To have both stars at the show was a befitting ode to fashion in the movies. Aditi Rao Hydari represented the glamorous times of the black and white era, while Chitrangadha Singh looked very much the OTT bride of Hindi cinema as we know her today.

No Manav Gangwani show is complete without A-list celebrities both on and off the runway. This time was no different as Kangana Ranaut stole the show dressed in a voluminous purple gown. The actress is known for her experimental and chic fashion style and channeled Hollywood glamour at this appearance.

Monisha Jaising’s runway was ablaze with a whole lot of glamour and sex appeal. It was twice the fun as actresses Pernia Qureshi and Kirti Sanon opened and closed the show dressed in the designer’s creations. “The Sailing Bride” featured Kirti in a lehenga teamed with a grey tank top and sneakers, while Pernia wore a pale blue cut-out gown.

Kalki Kochelin, is a hot favourite with all Indian designers for her svelte figure, innocent appeal and affable nature. The actress looked stunning dressed in a champagne hued gown for designer Gaurav Gupta.

Despite being unwell, actress Aishwariya Rai Bachchan looked like a million bucks as she closed the show for Bollywood’s favourite designer-Manish Malhotra. The Grand Finale show featured India’s biggest international celebrity for a picture perfect finish.
