Moscow Fashion Week

27 September, 2026

An FDCI presentation at Moscow Fashion Week 2026.

Taking contemporary Indian design to an international audience, FDCI brought Kanika Goyal Label’s distinctive design language to the Moscow runway.

About the event

As part of FDCI‘s collaboration with Moscow Fashion Week, Kanika Goyal Label brought its deconstructed, gender-agnostic approach to the Moscow runway, translating Indian design sensibilities through a contemporary global lens.

For this showcase, Kanika Goyal explored fragmented memory and shifting identity, reflecting on the many versions of ourselves that coexist across time – who we were, who we imagine ourselves to be, and who we are becoming. Drawing from the logic of dreams and déjà vu, the collection disrupted familiar silhouettes, proportions and conventional codes of dressing, embracing identity as layered, contradictory and ever-evolving.

The showcase brought Kanika Goyal Label’s distinctive design language to a global audience, reflecting FDCI’s continued efforts to create international platforms for Indian designers and foster meaningful exchange between Indian fashion and the world.

Sharing his perspective on the collaboration, Sunil Sethi, Chairman, Fashion Design Council of India, said:

“Kanika’s KGL is known for her deconstructed, gender agnostic clothing which appeals to a global consumer looking for separates that can elevate everyday dressing. We at the FDCI want to give designers with an offbeat yet commercial trajectory a global opportunity.”

“Moscow Fashion Week and FDCI partnership brings to the fore Indian craftsmanship at its best; Russia has been a big admirer of Indian culture for generations, now they get a flavour of how dextrously our designers can add ancient techniques to modern silhouettes.”
