Mumbai, March: A poetic embrace of ease and elegance unfolded on the runway as Tarun Tahiliani presented his latest collection, ‘Languid’ SS25, at the Blenders Pride Fashion Tour powered by FDCI last Saturday. Staying true to his signature blend of heritage and modernity, Tahiliani offered a vision of effortless sophistication, where tradition waltzes seamlessly with contemporary craftsmanship. 

Languid Summer: An Ode to Lightness and Luxury 

Emerging from the long, dark winter of global change, ‘Languid’ SS25 embodies a season of renewal—a return to ease, grace, and understated indulgence. Inspired by the serene blues and tranquil luxury of the Kuda Villingili Resort in the Maldives, the collection is a tribute to the harmony of nature and design. Flowing drapery, intricate embellishments, and a serene color palette breathe life into silhouettes designed for global celebrations, destination weddings, and sun-drenched getaways. 

Drawing from a rich tapestry of Indian heritage, the collection unfolds across four distinct narratives: 

• Sitara: A celestial dreamscape of structured silhouettes, fluid drapery, and intricate embroidery that captures the shimmer of stardust. 

• Zartaar: A homage to Kashida embroidery, where Kashmiri heritage meets modern Indian sensibilities in a symphony of soft neutrals and rich jewel tones. 

• Bahaar: A poetic celebration of nature’s bloom, with delicate florals and layered textures bringing freshness and vibrancy. 

• Nafees: Understated opulence defined by ethereal femininity and structured sophistication in moonlit hues of champagne, ivory, and soft aqua. 

The showcase was an immersive experience—a moonlit colonnade flickering with thousands of lights, creating an illusion of timeless grandeur. Each ensemble epitomized quiet power and movement, reaffirming Tarun Tahiliani’s mastery in balancing structure with fluidity.
