Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week (WIFW), Asia’s biggest business of fashion event introduces a line-up of splendid collections from Indian designers on the runway and the exhibition area. WIFW offers five action-packed days of inspiration, ingenuity and imagination aligned with business opportunities. This event will bring a diversity of talent on the runway and shows that are multicultural with great commercial appeal all under one roof at Hall No. 18, India Trade Promotion Organization (ITPO), Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.
With an objective to encourage and endorse designers to grow their brands nationally and internationally as also to widen their customer base every year, WIFW allows fashion designers to showcase their collection to domestic and international buyers, media and design schools. Most importantly, it lets the industry know what’s ‘in’ and what’s ‘out’ for the coming season.
Miscellanies of blended designers participate in the fashion fiesta, which is now 16 seasons old. While designers have woven Indian crafts and traditional pattern to urban design, models, choreographers, make-up artists have worked in congruence towards marketing fashion and transforming the runway into a power packed marketplace.
Over the years, WIFW has turned the spotlight on new talent with the strategic objective of identifying India’s top new and emerging designers, who would showcase their collection. The goal being clear, to promote and encourage designers grow their brands locally and internationally whilst developing strong links with the wider manufacturing and retail industries. Also known for promoting models, through “New faces going places”, WIFW will promote news and established models as they sashay down the runway.
As always, WIFW S/S 2011 brings you the best, brightest & biggest in Indian fashion and is an interesting rendezvous of exquisite lounges, special on-site restaurants and exhibition café counters to ensure all guests and participants enjoy their time at the WIFW, where business meets absolute fashion!
