Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI) recognizes the potential of Indian fashion designers through its platform Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week (Autumn Winter and Spring Summer) showcases.  In the last 11 years, FDCI has taken the Indian Fashion industry global and secured national pride for the business of fashion.

Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week S/S 2010, India’s biggest fashion business event once more presents fashion week, bringing to you the best, brightest & biggest in Indian fashion. WIFW SS’10 allows fashion designers, brands or fashion houses to display their latest collections in runway shows and buyers to take a look at the latest trends. Most importantly, it lets the industry know what’s ‘in’ and what’s ‘out’ for the season. 

WIFW SS ‘10 launches a lineup of splendid collections from 110 designers on the runway and the exhibition area. With 38 shows and over 100 stalls, WIFW offers five action-packed days of inspiration, ingenuity and imagination aligned with business opportunities. This event will bring variety to the runway and shows that are multicultural with great commercial appeal all under one roof at Pragati Maidan. WIFW SS’10 will partner with designers and marketers and showcase an exclusive industry-only event as part of our efforts to position India as a world-class design and fashion centre.

WIFW SS’10 will see not only the veterans but also young talent showcase the very best of their collections set in a perfect ambience. WIFW is seeing the emergence of increasingly young and talented designers, bringing new and exciting design concepts to the local fashion market. Having left a mark in the local fashion scene with the incredible innovation and creativity displayed over the years, they are also making their mark internationally.

The clear objective is to endorse and encourage designers grow their brands locally and internationally whilst developing strong links with the wider manufacturing and retail industries. Even as the designers have woven Indian crafts and traditional patterns to urban designs, models, choreographers and make-up artists have worked in harmony towards marketing fashion and transforming the runway into a power packed marketplace.

Our special team constituting designers and industry professionals has looked into every aspect of the event. The 2 runways and the exhibition areas will be converted into high fashion spots reflecting style and luxury in keeping with the theme.

14 seasons old, the union of India’s foremost designers at this elite platform is an indication of the standing and grandeur of this event. WIFW continues to be a focus for designers and talent teams from all over the country and will bring in agents, buyers and experts from overseas to further streamline the business of fashion.
