Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week Spring – Summer 2015 celebrates the 24th edition on the runway
The Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI) is heralding the next season by holding the bi-annual, prêt a porter extravaganza, the Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week’s spring-summer 2015 edition.
Asia’s biggest fashion and trade event scheduled from October 8-12, 2014, at Hall No. 18, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, continues the journey of taking Indian fashion beyond its shores.
The five-day style spectacle is set to witness some of the most illuminating stars from the fashion industry. This season, 125 renowned and young designers, including 55 on the runway from across the country will be showcasing their collections and trend predictions for the coming spring-summer. The event will witness 30 shows and over 120 designer stalls at the exhibit area.
The FDCI has strived to include the most prominent as well as talented young designers by giving them a dream platform to showcase at the WIFW taking the ‘Made in India’ label to a higher echelon.
The Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week SS’15 will highlight the convergence of fashion, with an igniting mix of tradition and modernity, which is the touchstone of the Indian fashion industry. With the flourishing fashion landscape, the FDCI has made consistent efforts for emerging designers to reach out to potential buyers; both international and domestic and widen their customer base every year.
In keeping with its altruistic side, the FDCI continues to collaborate with the People for Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) to protest against animal abuse and protect their rights. This season, the collaboration hopes to raise awareness about Angora wool.
With India emerging as a burgeoning market for e-commerce, the Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week SS’15 has also partnered with Myntra.com in an endeavour to make fashion more mainstream and accessible to Indian consumers. The event has also continued its association with the Australian High Commission to promote the cause of Indian handloom and weavers, who have faced innumerable challenges.
The Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week SS’15 will also witness shows by associate sponsors including the Development Commissioner Handlooms, Ministry of Textiles and Shree Raj Mahal Jewellers.
The Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week Spring-Summer 15 will offer unrestrained glamour, sassy hues, natty presentations, effective business opportunities, and exquisite lounges to toast the unparalleled in fashion. We welcome you to yet another exciting season!
