Born and raised in Jaipur, Tarang Arora comes from a prestigious family credited as the creators of one of Indias most magnificent heritage jewellery brands, Amrapali, having a retail presence in over 38 locations world over, including India and internationally. Amrapali Jaipur is a celebration of the timeless Indian art of adornment and authentic master craftsmanship. Breathing new life into centuries-old traditions of jeweller, Amrapali embodies a unique, bold and eclectic style. Like the legend of its namesake, a renowned courtesan of ancient India, Amrapali Jaipur is the expression of a mysterious, eternal world of delight. The love for creating and designing jewellery came naturally to Tarang and he decided to academically pursue study in the field at GIA London, where he successfully graduated as a Gemologist. Along with this, he also studied Jewellery Designing, Manufacturing and CAD CAM.
He joined the Amrapali group of companies in 2004 and today, heads the International Operations and Design team. He was instrumental in getting Amrapali to Harrods and Selfridges, amongst the worlds leading department stores. Tribe Amrapali, a new venture initiated by Tarang is a sub-brand of Amrapali with its presence in Mumbai, Delhi and also online. Under his guidance, Amrapali jewels have recently launched “Amrapali Museum” for showcasing Indian jewellery and craftsmanship as well as a research centre for designers who are keen to study the Indian jewellery.
