ARCH College of Design & Business (formerly known as ARCH Academy of Design), was set up in the year 2000, to impart industrially and globally relevant, specialized education in Design. Through 19 years of useful contribution, it has nurtured 5000 plus professional designers and entrepreneurs.
Since 2010, ARCH has conducted an All India Entrance Examination for Design (AIEED). Accessible to interested students the world over it is a one of its kind online exam. Having interactive components at its core, it is designed to facilitate ease of testing and assessing the abilities and the aptitude of aspirant students for a career in Design.
Courses offered include Undergraduate, Postgraduate and Certificate level courses in Fashion, Interior, Product, Jewellery, Graphics and Design Communication, coupled with specialized courses combining Design education with Business and Entrepreneurial knowledge. ARCH is affiliated to the University of Rajasthan for Bachelor of Design Degree (B.Des). ARCH is also affiliated to the Rajasthan ILD Skills University (RISU) for Bachelor and Masters in Vocational studies. Additionally, ARCH in strategic partnership with Pearson, is accredited to deliver BTEC Level 5 HND qualifications in Art & Design.
A Design Business Incubator at the Campus provides necessary resources, services, coaching, mentoring & networking connections to develop business models based on design innovations and making them scalable to through start- up enterprises.
ARCH has a number of MoUs with various Higher Educational institutions of Art & Design, in the UK, Europe, and the Americas, for collaborations, in the form of Student & Staff Exchanges and Progression for students.
ARCH is member of various International & National forums and that include IFFTI (International Foundation of Fashion Technology Institutes), CUMULUS (International Association of Universities and Colleges of Art, Design and Media), the WDO (World Design Organisation), FDCI (Fashion Design Council of India)and IIID (Institute of Indian Interior Designers).
ARCH will be hosting the 2020 Fashion Colloquium in Jaipur, India in January. It will provide an international forum for discussions, debate and interaction on the theme Heritage, Stories of Change and Our Shared Future and how essential and integral it is for us to protect and preserve the colors and threads of our rich material culture and the unique stories they tell us.
