DRVV was set up in 2012 by Dhruv Kapur, an LSE graduate with several years of experience in Fashion and Retail Management. The brand celebrates individualism and follows a postmodernist philosophy; the clothes are functional, utilitarian, minimal and architectural. DRVVs vision, which includes moving past social conventions, is expressed in the androgyny of the garments. The design philosophy is summed up in a few words: modern, astute, luxurious and sometimes severe.
The brands signature style includes methodical crafting of each piece, sometimes with processes that require hundreds of hours of hand work by master craftsperson and are finished with impeccable detailing. The luxury of hand work and the sophistication of the material are evident in each of the products.
The label currently retails at stores like Pernia’s Pop Up Shop, Mythology, Indelust, Jabong, Aura, Verandah and Atosa.
