Established in 1986 under the aegis of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India, the Footwear Design and Development Institute (FDDI) has earned global recognition for its excellence in providing skilled professionals to the Footwear, Fashion, and Retail industries.
Designated as an Institution of National Importance under the FDDI Act, 2017, FDDI operates through its 12 state-of-the-art campuses located in Noida, Fursatganj, Chennai, Kolkata, Rohtak, Chhindwara, Guna, Jodhpur, Ankleshwar, Banur, Patna, and Hyderabad. The institute offers comprehensive undergraduate and postgraduate degree programs in Footwear Design & Production, Fashion Design, Leather Lifestyle & Product Design , and Retail & Fashion Merchandise.
In addition to its academic programs, FDDI plays a pivotal role in the technological upgradation and skill-building of the industry by conducting industry-specific certificate programs tailored to meet emerging trends and market demands.
