Patine was co-founded by Shon Randhawa, Geeti Mehra and Chand Balbir Singh in 2007 as they were brought together by shared passion of the rich artistry of Indias heritage embroideries and their commitment to craft. To further this quest Patine is reviving old heritage crafts of Parsi Ghara, Chikankari and various other regional artisanal embroideries like Kamdani, Zardosi and Zari Marori work, Resham Mochi ka Kam, Kantha, Soof embroidery to name a few. These historic embroidery techniques from the core of the label and the design team works tirelessly with their artisans to transform their traditional techniques into versatile, yet timeless fashion thats relevant to the spirit of the times we live in.
Patine prides itself on blending the best ready to wear with couture embroideries and believes in the idea of layering garments. At the core of the brand are bespoke separates that can be worn in myriad ways, and for several occasions. It encourages its customers to inject their own sense of style into their designs. No womens wardrobe is complete without these signature Patine garments. Shon R is a fashion entrepreneur with experience in investment and design, as she understands both commerce and art. She leads the team in design and business developments. She studied Fashion Design from the London College Of Fashion and Diplomas in fashion Design, Pattern cutting and Draping from NIFT, New Delhi. Prior to this, she completed Bachelors in Commerce at Delhi University. The knowledge and training led to her foray in venture capital in the fashion arena when she has seeded and co-founded start-ups in the fashion arena in India and United Kingdom. Delhi born, Shon divides her time between London and New Delhi. She is also the co-founder of British Lifestyle brand “Talitha” along with well know stylist, Kim Hersov. This niche brand is stocked by leading luxury retailers, including well known online ecommerce portals like Matches Fashion, Net-a-porter, My Theresa, etc as well iconic stores like Londons Harrods, New Yorks Bergdorf Goodman and Multiple Neiman Marcus store locations and their online portals.
