Farha Ansari started this organization and got recognition in 2019-20. She started her production in Kuchamancity of Nagore and in Bassi in Jaipur city. Now we one store in Shyam Nagar, Jaipur and one upcoming store in C-scheme Jaipur. Khadi, a versatile fabric, showcasing the weaving art of Rajasthan. S.E.W.A, Society for Empowerment of Women Artisans where the talented weavers of Jaisalmer, Barmer, Bassi and Kuchamancity have created the fabric which is in sync with the environmental friendly requirements of being eco-friendly and sustainable.
Khadi which once became a symbol of freedom struggle is helping many artisans which believe in creating natural and body friendly fabrics by using natural dyes and hand woven techniques, this also places it in a fabric which leaves minimal carbon footprint. In an era where Make in India, Eco-friendly, sustainable, traditional art, saving the art of handi-crafts are the demand of the times, Khadi is one answer to all. S.E.W.A and it helps and empower women artisans to generate much needed household income to rural Indian communities.
