India’s premier fashion body Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI) wrapped up a successful fashion event recently — the Synergy One Delhi Couture Week in association with Aircel. Twelve leading couturiers brought alive India’s finest intricate tailoring and craft tradition in tribute to the country’s rich textile heritage. Eleven shows and 600 plus garments on the ramp added to the glitter. The film fraternity added to the glamour where the real stars were the garments crafted with zeal and passion by the torchbearers of couture in India. Most collections were snapped by leading retailers even before the week came to an end, which was supported by Signature and Kingfisher.
