Fdci Announces Revised Dates For Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2012

FDCI ANNOUNCES REVISED DATES FOR

WILLS LIFESTYLE INDIA FASHION WEEK SPRING/SUMMER 2012

The finest fashion extravaganza shifted to

October 8- 12, 2011 @ Pragati Maidan, New Delhi

New Delhi, Saturday, May 28, 2011: FDCI announced new dates for Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2012, which is now scheduled for Oct 8-12, 2011 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. The event was initially scheduled for the month of September.

FDCI has become instrumental in propelling the Indian fashion industry to tread the global business oriented path and believes in delivering the best designers event and top quality venue. Due to the unavailability of the most coveted hall no. 18 of Pragati Maidan and clash with international fashion events, FDCI has decided to postpone the event to October 2011.

Mr. Sunil Sethi, President, FDCI said, “The upcoming Spring/Summer edition of Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week has been rescheduled to October. This is primarily due to the conflicting dates with other international fashion events and the non availability of the Hall no. 18 at Pragati Maidan that has become the standard venue for WIFW. We look forward to the best of Indian fashion designers participating in the event.”

Mr. Atul Chand, Divisional Chief Executive, ITC’s Lifestyle said, “Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week is the single most prestigious and celebrated fashion event of India. The participation by the best of the Indian fashion industry continues to strengthen the business of fashion and take the event to newer heights. We look forward to another season of Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2012.”

A “By Invitation Only” event, Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week aims to serve as an effective platform to promote fashion design and provide industry professionals the opportunity to form trade linkages within India and globally. Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week offers participating designers a business presence and a series of marketing tools all aimed at informing and updating buyers, investors, corporate houses and the media.
