FDCI PRESENTED THE FASHION & STYLE QU IZ AT WIFW SS 2011 – 12
GAUTAM BHIMANI TESTS YOUR FASHION WIT
New Delhi, October 11th, 2011: Pioneering yet another initiative to showcase the best impulses of the field of carefully crafted fashion, FDCI proudly presented a fashion quiz with a difference. Aptly titled, “WHATS HAUTE?”, the quiz was an integral part of the season’s most awaited business of fashion event, the Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week, Spring – Summer 2011 – 12.
The quiz was hosted by the affable cricket commentator and quiz fanatic, Mr. Gautam Bhimani who is both a keen student of fashion trends and a regular at every fashion week. The quiz seeked participation from the movers and shakers of the industry. The three winning teams were given carpets ‘ Floored by Art ‘ by Sunil Sethi Design Alliance and gift vouchers from the Wills Lifestyle.
Said Mr. Sunil Sethi President FDCI, “What’s haute quiz at WIFW SS’12 offered the right dose of fun, wit and humour. Gautam’s unique style of hosting the show promises a fun and inspiring time for all fashionistas and audience. This is the third time where we all got together for the quest of knowing the business of fashion. ‘Floored by art’, by Sunil Sethi Design Alliance once again gave out interesting carpets to the winners”.
Said Mr. Gautam Bhimani, “To borrow a cricketing term, what’s haute successfully completes a hat trick this season! The only way this could happen is thanks to fashion trends in India that evolve at prêt neck speed. It would also not be happening for the third time without the initiative of styl(ish) guru Sunil Sethi and FDCI and of course a sporting bunch of designers and fashion media willing to embarrass themselves in public!”
The format of the quiz was as unique and unconventional as the industry that it represented. The quiz comprised of two member teams, each represented by a fashion media and a fashionista.
