Five Male Models Selected

FDCI and Wilderbee Talent Camp give male model aspirants an opportunity to dream big with #GetNoticed Model Hunt

New Delhi, April 4, 2021: The Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI) launched novel initiative #GetNoticed Model Hunt, in association with Wilderbee Talent Camp by Lakshmi Rana to give male models an opportunity to shine on the catwalk. The online applications were open for three days and over 700 aspirants applied.

After a thorough screening process, 15 applications were shortlisted and the candidates were invited to the FDCI office from April 1-4 for an intense training session by Lakshmi Rana. The module included teaching the business of modelling; ramp walk training and artistic posing; personal branding; effective communication; grooming and self-styling, as well as how to negotiate agency and contracts.

Interestingly, 15 hopefuls who came from diverse backgrounds ranging from Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Kolkata, Nashik, Jaipur, Kurukshetra and Dehradun learnt what it takes to hold your own under the spotlight. The coveted jury panel included Jamal Shaikh, Manish Malhotra, Nikhil Mehra, Payal Pratap and Suket Dhir.

After several rounds five male models were selected, who will walk for an FDCIorganised event. “In keeping with the overwhelming response we received for female auditions we wanted to extend this to male aspirants as well. This will be a stepping stone for those, who dream to be a part of the runway with the required know-how of how to adapt to personality developments and subtle technicalities,” says FDCI Chairman Sunil Sethi.
