Anand Bhushan
Anand Bhushan is an Indian design label for fashion, home and accessories started by a Delhi based designer Anand Bhushan. The designer is an award winning post graduate from the National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad and a graduate from the National Institute of Fashion Technology, New Delhi, but more than his formal education informs his training and experience as a designer. An understanding of where fashion and textile has been and where it may be going is vital to Anands technique and to his creative process. The label Anand Bhushan makes fashion creative but also able and continues to cultivate the modern, edgy take on upscale dressing which the designer has become known for.n nThe Spring Summer 2016 collection “DEUCE” is an interesting championship only when two opponents are equally strong. Summer and leather are an unlikely match, but their opposing energies set the court. Creating a refined delicacy from a material with a tough core may be ambitious, but texturing is an ace of the house. Fine strips are netted and woven together in custom-shaped panels on cotton, silk, georgette and jersey knit for the chicest sartorial game of tennis. Perforated leather gets a glam accent with faceted stones. Organza, with its sheer presence, counters the elaborately crafted surfaces. The colour palette of ivory, sap green and gamboge reference the early days of Wimbledon. The shapes take cues from retro sports apparel with polo T-shirt dress details, classic herringbone graphic, pleated skirts and dinky tennis dresses. It is a turf where no singular player dominates, but all elements strategically come together in a balanced game.
