The ethos of Anavila is centered around comfortable and earthy hand woven textiles that are inspired by nature. Rooted in Indian crafts its expression is contemporary, spanning both everyday and special occasion for todays Indian woman.
The Autumn Winter 2016 collection “FOLK … once upon a time” captures the beauty of the time gone by when everyday use objects were created by hand and people found beauty in creating and adding details. The collection focuses on the traveller in all of us. Our muse folk travels to lands far and near collecting: gathering sweet nothings.
Layering and detailing are core to the collection. For the first time we are working on a collection using different blends with linen. Linen wool and linen silk have been used with pure merino wool and silk. Traditional tapestry inspired weaves, ikat and controlled folk embroideries add charm to the collection.
