Born in India, to an Indian father and a Swedish mother, Monica Sharma from a young age was exposed to global fashion and trends.
After her graduation in commerce, she was convinced her forte lay in designing and styling. She started her career designing soft furnishing and jewellery for exporters in India. She later opened her own business of jewellery designing, manufacturing and exports with her head office ,design center and gold plating plant in New Delhi and a workshop in Jaipur.
Due to her extensive travels abroad and international exposure, Monica could naturally assimilate the design language of both the east and the west.
She has been designing for private labels in the US , the UK ,Beiging, Jakarta, and Japan,and her designs are sold in innumerable boutiques and prestigious stores like Anthropologie, Mia Wood ,endless.com, shopstyle.com, maxandchloe.com and regularly on gilt.com,and many more
Monica designs and manufactures, hand crafted, bridge and fashion jewellery made with semi precious stones and fresh water pearls, using sterling silver, silver plating over brass, and 24 karat gold plating over base metal brass.
In 2012, the inevitable happened .armed with adequate experience of designing, manufacturing and global fashion trends, she launched her own exclusive range of luxury jewellery under the brand name of ATELIER MON.
Perched on a pedestal of skill and passion .she feels her journey has just begun .
