Chhaya Mehrotra

Born in one of the oldest textile printing families of Banaras,nChhaya Mehrotra has always been fascinated with creativity.nAfter a PG course in Textile Design from NIFT (2003) shendesigned for her family business of home furnishings and Indiannwear. Her loyalty to the natural fibre and an inherent sense ofncolor harmony is her USP. She loves to experiment with variednsurface techniques and for A/W 2012 she has chosen to worknwith rhinestones and lent a unique character to the technique.nHer theme ‘The Crystal Heraut’ originates from motifs andnpatterns inspired by the art of French Heraldry. T he collectionnclearly targets the urban Indian woman who follows her dream,nis self reliant yet feminine… the women who multi-tasks anhundred odd jobs as a way of life & yet she arrives at hernfriend’s cocktails looking radiant.
