HODOPHILIC
Our minds wander into unchartered horizons as we lay under the palm tree in the summer nights wishing upon stars. This collection is a reflection of all those thoughts that come together to make you feel alive. Whether they were realized or no, they still happen to exist in one’s mind. A hodophile lives in each one of us. It’s only a matter of time or chance that we unleash the spirit within.
‘HODOPHILIC’ as a collection has silhouettes that are buoyant yet easy. There is a strong play of colours amongst which tonal embroidered details stand out with the use of old traditional Indian techniques. Long Jackets and maxi dresses are seen as a wardrobe essential this summer. There are column dresses in feminine cuts. The Uzbeki handloom silks with Indian Mashru create a seamless narration of a trip well travelled through the Silk route. The palate has a bright and deep tonal overshadow of colours that leaves us with an illusory solace. Whilst the warmth of ochre is ignited against the Fiery reds; the green lives an afterlife that leaves you feeling refreshed. The fabrics are a select luxe blend of Uzbeki handloom silk & washed cottons. Intricately embroidered motifs of the palm and the pots strike an unspoken conversation though out the collection. The accessories are strong and conspicuous. Signature leather textures that harness the brand’s craftsmanship skills are omnipresent; although the shapes are kept geometric and simple to balance out the complexity of the textures. The jewellery line is made of only natural stones. Crafted in part silver and part gold. It is an extension of the sensibility that is contemporary & sublime, echoing the ethos of the brand.
