Samant Chauhan, a NIFT alumni, having won four major awards at his graduating show, made a mark with his first show at the Singapore Fashion week with his collection for men and followed it with another collection named “Kamasutra” at India fashion week. Here he got the media and buyers very interested in his textiles and was invited to participate in the London Fashion weeks, which he has been a part ever since. He is ready to showcase his spring’09 collection at a show in Paris at the world famous Carousel Du Louvre.n nKnown for his textures that are created with the use of unusual silk yarns and the embellishments kept to minimal, Chauhan has made a new tryst into fashion with his latest collection for women with his “autumn wedding”.He has always worked with the silk and textiles that are hand woven and hand knitted, 100 per cent eco-friendly textiles.Today the label Samant Chauhan is stocked in several stores across the globe along with the leading multi designer stores in India.n n”Rajputana represents the rich heritage and culture with a new twist every season. The A/W 15 slow ” current invites the designer to take the time to see things in details and to indulge in the desire for well made, high quality products whose studied design and expert crafting are the signature of opulent good taste, slow luxury. High and low tech, charm and artsy savvy, velvets sit next to faded silk fabric, suede, shiny zari aspects with touches of gold for thread and accessories, pearls and unique prints.
