As Couturiers , we’ve always been fascinated with history and the grandeur it holds. Since a long time now, our work denoted the passion we hold in reviving nostalgia and retelling stories that are long forgotten. After over two decades of designing haute couture, it wasn’t surprising that we were looking for a new outlet: something that takes us back in time through it’s sheer beauty. Capella, named after the brightest star in the sky does exactly that.

This season we are revisiting the opulence that was served by the Baroque Era and the majestic artefact : The Chandelier. Like layers and layers of light, brightening up a room- our ensembles have been designed to achieve that!. Owing to the era, embroideries are inspired by the Baroque motif leaves lace and architecture. Everything is exaggerated in terms of silhouettes- to match the opulence of the early 17th century. The colours used this season are Off-White, Mint-Gold, Charcoal-  all an ode to the interiors of a Baroque palace. Nevertheless, More is more this season!

The lehengas are embellished with stones and crystal to command the attention on the bride, just like a chandelier does in a palace. There’s a revisit to tiers of tulle and veil to accentuate the sensuous richness and the beauty of movement. To keep the authenticity of the art alive, we’ve used baroque lace embroidered in Dori work. Each piece has a story to tell, an eye to catch and most importantly, an art to define.

Capella is a collection, we don’t present every season. It’s a new way for us to be the Anti-Trendsetters. Capella, is made for people who understand the importance of details, the ones who can’t skip a story, and for the ones who dare to rewrite that story.
