Siddartha Tytler

With interesting structures, dark color palette and sharp cuts, Siddartha Tytler’s label is an eclectic mix of several moods all strung together by a penchant for bling and high-octane glamor. The label’s expertise ranges from sensual, draped western wear to traditional wear with a contemporary spin. Suave and stylish, the range boasts of structured cuts, deep tones, and an effortless fusion of the classic with the quirky. Besides giving birth to a piece of art, getting wear-ability into his structural designs takes precedence for him as a part of his design philosophy.

His collection, Shān Shuǐ is inspired by this Chinese term for the art genre “landscape”, and both vertical and horizontal landscape paintings that are abstracted from the juxtaposition of steep hills, water bodies, wild flora and alluvial plains that is characteristic of Chinese topography. This collection pays serious homage to the beautiful concept of Shan Shui which literally denotes the water and mountains; inspiration of motif, color palette and the softness.

The color palette this season has drawn inspiration from the jewel tones such as maroon, navy, olive, charcoal and our staple black. Sticking to the brands ethos, we will be layering our Indian looks with parkas, trenches, bombers and jumpers to give a casual, young, fresh look to couture. The surfacing this season comprises top-stitch, sequin overlay, quilting and heavy crystal embellishments in the form of patchwork.
