EXTENDED AW17: The Autumn Winter 2017 collection “Extended” challenges and explores the visual play of elasticity and boundaries. Various embroidery, print techniques, and precise pleating have been used to draw out geometric compositions on fabric to depict stretch and movement. In addition, deconstruction techniques have been used for cutting silhouettes and shapes around the body. The color palette has a deep undertone of black, oxblood, dark emerald and dusky turquoise, which are occasionally broken by a light beige or white. Fabrics like heavy georgette, maheshwari and heavy satin have lent themselves to the play of texture in the collection.
