In a muted but rich colour palette, designer Reynu Taandon presented a quintessentially traditional collection inspired by the sartorial spender of Persia.
Shahbanu featured ornately embroidered lehengas, anarkalis and shararas in gold zardozi and mirrorwork. The silhouettes were inspired by Persian architecture and culture and floor sweeping panel lehengas and ankle grazing kurtas featured with ornate Persian motifs.
What really brought the collection together was the styling and hair and
make up. Multiple duppattas draped overhead, statement jewellery and
old fashion makeup added to the collection. Actress Richa Chadda was
the showstopper of the designer.
