Elf meets mermaid in a strong but delicate, fierce yet feminine Gaurav Gupta couture collection. The designer juxtaposes structure and drapes with botanical and marine motifs in this fantasy collection. The collective wisdom of nature is weaved in cascading layers of silk and swirls of organza and chiffon. Empowering silhouettes include sculpted sari-gowns, structured lehenga-saris and Maharaja coats teamed with trousers.

The Silt and Cipher collection captures a moment transient in time and cinches it into high waists, recurring peplums, many tiered skirts and constumesque volume. The soft colour palette features tone on tone, ecru, ivory, champagne and pale pink. A set of ensembles in deep maroon, navy blue gives a splash of colour. The spotlight shines on Denetelle embroidered lace, withering zardozi and sculpted boning, but what really caught our attention was the styling and stunning makeup.
