It’s rare to come by a collection that changes the landscape of fashion and sets the benchmark for the future; Varun Bahl’s haute couture show was just that. Inspirational design, ingenious embroidery and a breathtaking setting were just the start of what culminated into a crowning presentation. With this assemblage, Bahl has demonstrated once again why he is considered one of India’s top couturiers. The designer can be applauded for an artistic show staged to perfection.
The offsite show marked the launch of the designer’s latest venture Aurum- a bespoke luxury wedding design experience. Much like his ensembles Aurum caters to a clientele that celebrates the best of tailored glamour in luxury and classic style. Together, both the collection and the location caters to sophistication and comfort. The setting complete with floral chandeliers, candelabras, table setting and a rose bedecked runway created the perfect atmosphere for his Song of the Flower collection, the star of the evening. His bespoke creations were a treat for all fashion aficionados. While each ensemble possessed character and style second-to-none, we list our favourite creations from the compilation.
1) Bahl introduces power dressing to bridal couture with sharply tailored pants and embroidered blazers.
