Rahul Mishra’s debut couture collection intended to create a new look with international influences and strong traditional elements.
The collection carries detailed-simplicity while combining age-old craftsmanship with a progressive graphic style. Traditional silhouettes featured hand embroidered floral patterns and sheer handloom textiles, while modern shapes included elements of ultra luxe sportswear. The designer pegs his couture line as ‘Slow Fashion’ for the new age bride. We round up our favourite looks from his collection.
- Lehengas crafted from traditional Maheshwari and Benarasi handloom fabrics highlight India’s rich textile heritage.
- Ultra Luxe sports elements featured boomer jackets teamed with embroidered lehengas
- Modern tailoring featuring sheer panels and hand embroidery
- Surface textured ‘Chintz’ sari with a sheer cape
- Long jackets and structured silhouettes
