Jasmine may be eyeing Bollywood, but this medical college dropout looks at life through the prism of creativity rather than a stethoscope!

She was born in Dubai and grew up in Delhi even though 21-year-old Jasmine Sharma comes from a long list of doctors in the family, she chose to drop out of medical college to walk the runway!
My dad is now a senior surgeon in AIIMS, after he worked in the Army and my older sister is a doctor in Dubai. But I somehow never wanted to sit for exams and work in hospitals. I was more creatively inclined, so I dropped out of dental college after the first semester to enrol in Christ University, Bangalore where I am currently studying criminal psychology. It was something that kind of intrigued me, as to what really goes on in the mind of a killer or psychopath, she explains.
Jasmine, never planned to be a model, in fact she was a regular school girl, who had little or no exposure to fashion. It was only last year that she got a break working with J J Valaya and later became the face of the brand! I love modelling it is quite the equaliser, girls from all walks of life, culture, races and ethnicities kind of unite on one platform, it is truly liberating. Though I feel that now what we need is more curvy girls to also get a chance on the catwalk, like Ashley Graham who walked for Michel Kors at the New York Fashion Week Fall-Winter17 2017, she adds.
Even though as a child, she wanted to be just like the Brazilian bombshell Gisele Bundchen, with her endless legs and long, blonde tresses. I was a chubby kid and lost 15 kilos working out religiously, every day for two hours. So even if I am five feet eight inches tall, I really work hard to get there, she adds.
Jasmine also hopes to get a break in Bollywood, which is her ultimate destination and what may help is that she is a trained dancer, and that too a belly dancer, an art form she learnt in school. I dont really plan my future, but I do know that if a good script comes my way, I will grab it, she concludes.
