The R Elan X Gauri & Nainika Spring-Summer 2023 collection proudly uses the wide variety of sustainable offerings from RElan’s now sought after fabric collections. Though the R|Elan line is already well known for its eco-friendly recycled fabrics that are made entirely from waste plastic bottles, the designers Gauri and Nainika are particularly thrilled to be introducing fabrics that are entirely biodegradable, a first for R|Elan.

This year’s spring-summer line has a richly dark and dreamy tone to it, inspired by the starkly contrasting colours of night time botanical illustrations. The styles are fluid and breezy, depicting glamour at its peak, although with a certain laid back elegance. Light airy dresses and flowing gowns have been fashioned in a rich colour palette using featherweight fabrics such as chiffons, crepes and organzas. Easy to wear dresses and jumpsuits in signature floral prints along with red carpet worthy Grecian  silhouettes have been designed in vintage ivory and standout lipstick-red amongst other deep jewel tones.

Though florals have always been a mainstay of the brand, Gauri & Nainika’s love for botanicals was further intensified by a  pandemic driven work-from-home stint during which time the sisters became passionate about gardening. Among other motifs, the brand pays tribute to the classic rose, adding intense romanticism and femininity to the line. With classic corsetry, Greco-Roman inspired fluted bodices and flowing drapes, the R|Elan X Gauri & Nainika collection covers a spectrum of silhouettes that flatter diverse body types.

Gauri and Nainika have chosen R|ElanTM GreenGold, R|ElanTM EcoGold and R|Elant Freeflow for the collection. R|Elan” GreenGold fabric is made from 100% post-consumer used PET bottles and uses efficient and certified manufacturing practices. Thanks to this innovation, PET bottles can be reduced from ending up in landfills and oceans, making R|Elan” GreenGold one of the most sought-after fabric among leading brands, retailers, fashion designers and style enthusiasts. R|ElanTM FreeFlow fabric makes you feel like a million dollars. It provides fluidity and gives you a most luxurious fall and drape so you can look your best, effortlessly.
