Countdown is a conceptual collection designed to raise awareness on how our collective action and non-sustainable growth is leading our planet to a point of no return, at an alarming speed. Fast cars, high rise, the Big American Dream has costed us more than we can pay. Whether we still chose to grow conventionally & unethically at a fast pace or slow down and opt for sustainable & ethical ways to grow, the choice is ours.

The collection addresses grave issues like urbanisation, deforestation, air pollution, that results in increased pre-mature child births, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, lung cancer and many such after effects on us & our future generations. As per the world survey INDIA tops in the list of most polluted cities in the world.

Voicing these disturbing facts through fashion.

IS THERE HOPE?

Although these facts hit us right in our faces but there is hope around when people chose to make a difference. The collection uses Graviky ink for printing & painting. Graviky ink is a spectacular innovation by MIT based Indians. The ink is made from carbon, collected from vehicles. The collection explores unconventional construction, creative pattern making & innovative 3D hand embroidery techniques to create installation apparels using recycled/waste materials. Hand painted surfaces, detailed textures, form inspired silhouettes takes this collection into a conceptual space that the designer pronounces as “tendencies”. Be it a skyscraper headgear, a smog cloud bag or a garbage bag shoe, the collection is rich in textures, techniques & forms that become tendencies for the future.
