You Cant Ask God Anything More Than He Has Given You – James Ferreira

You cant ask God anything more than he has given you. It is this philosophy that helps veteran designer James Ferreira keep his head above water in the fashion industry. Where most designers are encouraging buyers to come into their stall, James likes to play music, jazz and classical from the 50s and dance all night long in his little loft where he stays alone in Mumbai. I dont know how to market, or convince people to give me what I want, but I know what I am good at and that is dancing. So I perform for my tables and chairs and it sets the night on fire, he laughs.

Growing up in Nagaland, the one Style Lesson that Atsu Sekhoses Mother Taught him was Less is More.

Growing up in Nagaland, the one style lesson that Atsu Sekhoses mother taught him was less is more. And that is what got etched in the designers mind as a student at NIFT Delhi and also when he launched his label ten years back. Atsu means unique in Naga, and for the shy style guru, it remained a challenge to be true to his name. On the first day of the WIFW SS 13, Atsu showed a line that had glimpses of his roots, but he never let it overtake his mission-clothes with a global appeal.
WIFW SS 13 – Day One Sum-up

Bollywood wife and glamourista Suzanne Roshan may have turned many heads in her little red number as she sat in the front row of buddy Surily Goels show at the WIFW SS 13, but it was undoubtedly the quiet and extremely dignified Aditi, daughter of textile revivalist Jaya Jaitly in a soothing green sari, glittering nose stud, and a red bindi, who stole the show! Wendell Rodricks should be a happy man, he got appreciation from none other than a woman who truly understands style and has abandoned ultra short sequinned wonders for true Indian flavour and that too at a showing that is celebrating what the country really stands for, craftsmanship.
The IT Accessory for Spring Summer 2013!

Yes youve heard that the right (or wrong!) accessory can make (or break!) a look. No one believes more in that truth than the 10 accessory designers displaying their Spring Summer 2013 collections at WIFW.
Rohit and Rahul Have Been an Absolute Delight to Work with, Says Diederik.

Diederik Verbakel and Marieke Holthuis met at the Academy of Art, Arnhem when they were design students and 17 years later, besides completing each others sentences, they both are best friends forever. As they sailed through internships and working with Versace Sport, Moschino, Harley Davidson and Diesel, it was a desire to do something of their own led them to set up their own brand in 2010 and DIED (first four letters of Diederiks name) seemed an apt name for their label.
Day 1 – WIFW SS 13 Fittings

Like in all things in life, a balance is what we all seek, besides of course answers to existential questions. But for model Krishna Somani, her twins seemed to be paramount, as she effortlessly floated in and out of the fittings at The Lalit hotel on a balmy Wednesday for the upcoming Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week Spring-Summer 2013 to be held at the Pragati Maidan from Oct 6-10.
